Parasite took the night’s biggest award.

Awards season is over again for another year, with the 92nd Annual Academy Awards being the final bash. However, after much criticism of their nominations, Bong Joon-Ho’s dark comedy Parasite made history by being the first foreign film to win the prestigious accolade of Best Picture. Joon-Ho also picked up Best Director, Best International Film and Original Screenplay, and gave us some of the most wholesome moments of the night, for instance, when he apologised to the award engravers for having so many. Or when this happened:

For the most part, the rest of the night’s awards mirrored that of earlier events, but many were surprised to find that Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman didn’t take home a single award that it was nominated for.
