The Baudelaires’ series of unfortunate events are finally coming to an end, with a trailer for the third and final season of the series promising more mysteries than ever.
Season 3, which adapts the last four books of Lemony Snicket’s series, sees the Baudelaires – Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes), and Sunny (Presley Smith) – travel all over, from the top of a mountain, to the depths of the sea in a submarine, and the Hotel Denouement to avoid being captured by Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris).
On their journey they will meet Allison Williams’ Kit Snicket, New Girl actor Max Greenfield who joins the show this season, as well as encountering familiar faces like Jerome Squalor (Tony Hale), Vice Principal Nero (Roger Bart) and more – including our narrator, Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton).
Executive producer Barry Sonnenfeld previously told Entertainment Weekly that Season 3 will be “the most emotional season yet […] It’s got a lot of action, and the kids have become much more proactive and less victims.”
One thing’s for sure, you won’t be able to look away when A Series of Unfortunate Events returns on January 1st, 2019.
