A day after the world premiere of the forthcoming Black Panther, Marvel Studios has released the trailer for their next offering of 2018. The first trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived, and Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne is front and centre.
The trailer begins with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) asking Hope whether she would have helped him and Team Cap, if they had asked her in Civil War. Which is a decent question, because Cap needed all the help he could get and yet they never considered asking her to join them.
“I guess we’ll never know,” she replies. “But if you had, you’d have never been caught.”
Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) also returns in this sequel, picking up after the events of Captain America: Civil War, and finds Hank, Scott and Hope on the run. With all the shrunken fun we’ve come to love, even a Hello Kitty Pez dispenser is lethal in their tiny hands – even the newly released poster plays on the film’s unique selling point – penny-sized heroes kicking ass.

Peyton Reed directs the film, which also stars Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, David Dastmalchian, Walton Goggins, Randall Park, and Hannah John-Kamen.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is released on July 6th in the US, and August 3rd in the UK.
