Since the launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins last year, Ubisoft have continued to provide new content for players who are still exploring the expanse of ancient Egypt. One feature which fans have been clamouring for is a New Game+ mode which would allow them to playthrough the story again while retaining all of their earned abilities and skills.

In a post over on the game’s reddit page, community manager domvgt confirmed that the mode is on the horizon stating; “New Game+ is coming, we’ll have more information to share soon.”

In terms of when fans can expect news on the imminent game mode, domvgt teases a future blog post over on the Ubisoft blog;  “I’d expect some info in an upcoming ‘This month in Assassin’s Creed Origins‘ post from Ubi sooner rather than later”

The inclusion of a New Game+ mode marks a first for the series, one of many introduced this time around. Ubisoft have already been drip -feeding content to its fans since launch, having regularly added events to the game which allow players to earn exclusive loot. The first major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, the “Hidden Ones” DLC, released Jan 23 and brought with it an increased level cap and a whole new story thread which takes place four years after the events of the main game.

There has also been a Final Fantasy XV crossover, Trials of the Gods missions and several cosmetic packs released for the game. The next major update to the game, The Curse of the Pharaohs, is set for release March 6 and will pit players against zombie pharaohs and a host of mythical beasts. Ubisoft are also releasing the Discovery Tour DLC on February 20 which allows players to experience the world of ancient Egypt completely combat free. It’s an educational mode of sorts which teaches about Origin’s rich and cultured world.

Assassin’s Creed Origins released  27 October 2017 and stars Bayek of Siwa as he embarks of a rampage of vengeance against those who murdered his Son. His journeys lead him to form the Brotherhood of Assassins in this prequel to the series so far.
