Just when you thought the cast of next year’s Avengers: Infinity War couldn’t get any bigger, Marvel announce another hero.
Yesterday, Letitia Wright, the actress playing Black Panther’s sister Shuri in the upcoming Black Panther movie, confirmed on Twitter (via an IMDb casting announcement) that she would be reprising her role in Infinity War. And while we know that Infinity War has already finished filming, it’s likely that Wright’s scenes have already been filmed, with her role only being announced now, to keep momentum going.
Wright is one of several Black Panther stars to feature in the Avengers sequel, alongside Black Panther himself (Chadwick Boseman), Okoye (Dania Gurira), M’Baku (Winston Duke) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman). Black Panther’s release is before that of Infinity War, and with so many of the cast reprising their roles alongside the Avengers, it may hint that the characters could play a key role in the movie’s plot.
Black Panther is released in cinemas on February 16, 2018, followed by Avengers: Infinity War in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 and US cinemas on May 4, 2018.
