With her little assassin family.
Marvel’s no stranger to releasing a Super Bowl spot or two, so it makes sense that at last weekend’s game, fans were treated to another tease of Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson’s solo superhero outing.
After years of fans asking for it, Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff has finally got her own film, and this new teaser gives a little more insight into her backstory.
The 30-second video begins with Natasha revealing, “You don’t know everything about me,” before going on to say, “The Avengers weren’t my first family.”
This comes alongside clips of Natasha flying through the sky, kicking ass, and a few more glimpses of her pre-Avengers family, Melina Vostokoff (Florence Pugh), Yelena Belova (Rachel Weisz), and Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour).
Just before the teaser’s conclusion we’re left wanting more as we hear Johansson’s character say, “At some point, we all have to choose what the world wants us to be.”
As well as this teaser, Marvel have also released character posters for the film showing Natasha, Melina, Yelena, and Alexei in the kind of classic stoic poses we’ve come to expect from Marvel. Check them out below:
Black Widow is set for release on May 1st.
