One of the smaller announcements from Sony’s huge Paris games week conference is the announcement of Call of Duty WW2’s first DLC pack. Titled “The Resistance” it releases first for PS4 on January 30th and following that 30 days later on all other platforms.

The short teaser trailer highlighted 5 locations on a map (with the countries France, Poland and Czechoslovakia marked with flags), indicating these will be the locations of the new multiplayer maps in the DLC. No gameplay or footage of the maps in the pack was shown and there was surprisingly no mention of a new addition to the highly anticipated zombie’s mode included in this DLC. Whether the two none flag symbols were hinting at either a zombie’s map or something else entirely I’m not sure, but we will likely hear more directly from sledgehammer games as the release date for this DLC draws closer.

Not only this we also got a look at some gameplay on the brand-new map “Carentan” which is available on launch to anyone who buys the £40 season pass. We’re still unsure as to whether this is available to purchase on its own like in the previous Call of Duty games, but the quote “Contents may be sold separately” gives a glimmer of hope.

Call of duty WW2 releases on November 3rd for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
