Last time we saw Crackdown 3 it was during Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference. Since then we learned more about Terry Crews’ involvement in the game but little else in terms of concrete details and gameplay.

It seems this was intentional as the game has now been delayed into 2018. Crackdown 3 has been delayed so that the developers have enough time to work on the campaign, cooperative multiplayer, and Wrecking Zone competitive multiplayer. The game was originally set to launch on Nov 9 with it now set to release Spring 2018. Shannon Loftis, Microsoft Studios Publishing general manager revealed the delay to Polygon stating “we want to make sure to deliver the right game, with the right quality, and at the right time. Crackdown 3 is a hugely ambitious game and we want to ensure we deliver the right experiences all the way through every part of the game, whether that’s campaign, co-op multiplayer or our competitive multiplayer mode, Wrecking Zone. Getting the balance right between the three modes is important, and we are going to take the extra development time to ensure that. Gamers can expect Crackdown 3 in Spring of 2018.”

Crackdown 3 will launch Spring 2018 for Xbox One and PC.
