Just as Robin Wright finalises her talks to star in the upcoming sci-fi sequel former MMA and wrester turned actor Dave Bautista teases us with this image on Twitter quoting that he “can’t wait to share some really exciting news”. Is he lightly suggesting that he’s also up for a role in the movie?
As we see in the picture he is holding an origami unicorn which plays a key visual element in the original movie. Will it continue to play a part in this one? It remains to be seen but what we do know is that it will be directed by Sicario and Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve, written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and set several decades after the events of the first movie. Harrison Ford and will reprise his role as Deckard alongside Ryan Gosling. Nothing about the story is known at this point.
Bautista is set to reprise his role as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy part II, directed by James Gunn.
