Deadpool is flirting with Flashdance in the newest poster for the forthcoming sequel, which is a little over three months from release.
Star/producer Ryan Reynolds has raised the stakes for the as-yet untitled Deadpool sequel (which seems more and more likely to be running with Untitled Deadpool Sequel) as they have brought in a couple of big fan-favourites for the second film, Cable, played by Josh Brolin, and Domino, played by Zazie Beetz.
Along with the increasing number of cast members, Reynolds has also managed to maintain the film’s irreverent tone through the new film’s promotional materials. From the hilarious Thanksgiving portrait, to the weirdly wonderful Bob Ross-inspired teaser, and the recreation of Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam (with Cable and Deadpool), Reynolds and his team are continuing to deliver inventive new promotional ideas to get folks talking.
Choosing to sit out of the Super Bowl bombardment of TV Spots, Deadpool returned to promoting the film this morning on social media. In a new tweet from Reynolds, the actor released a teaser poster alongside lyrics from the Flashdance theme – and it’s easy to see why:
