Entertainment Weekly have released a number of new stills from the Split and Unbreakable sequel, Glass.
Last year, M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Split became a box office hit – but it wasn’t until the film’s end that fans were let in on the secret that Split took place in the same universe as the director’s earlier film, Unbreakable. Since Split’s release, Shyamalan has been working hard on its sequel, Glass, which will unite James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb with Samuel L. Jackson’s Mr. Glass a.k.a Elijah Price, and Bruce Willis’ David Dunn to end the unlikely trilogy.
Glass endeavours to bring the stories of Price, Dunn, Crumb and Casey Cook (Anya Taylor-Joy) to a satisfying conclusion. In the trailer shown at this year’s CinemaCon, footage showed the three characters in the same facility, receiving treatment from a psychiatrist, played by American Horror Story alum Sarah Paulson.
“She deals with people that think they’re comic-book characters,” Shyamalan said of the character, “It’s kind of the modern-day equivalent of ‘I think I’m Jesus’ or ‘I’m an emperor.’”
