There seems to be a lot of leaks coming from the Odyssey camp at the moment, but these screencaps give us our best look at the Spartan game so far.

From the appearance of the graphics, there does seem that Odyssey will have a lot in common with its predecessor Origins, as well as the inclusion of some features from earlier Assassin’s Creed titles:

With the size and scope of the map, and the large amount of water, Black Flag’s large ships have returned, and you won’t have any issues with scouting enemy camps, as your bird friend from Origins has been carried over into this game.

What’s strange about these images, is how little this game seem to have to do with the Assassin’s Creed of older titles, as while you are undoubtedly doing your fair share of killing, there’s little mention of templars and assassins to be found. However, Ubisoft has managed to get around this problem before, putting them into Origins as ‘The Hidden Ones’ and ‘The Order of Ancients’ which could also be found in this game.

The official description of the game reads:

“Take control of your destiny and write your own epic odyssey as you journey to become a legendary Spartan hero. Live incredible adventures in a world where every choice matters. Rejected by your family, you must embark on an adventure from outcast mercenary to legendary Spartan hero to uncover the truth about your past.”
