The first trailer for Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns has finally been released.

From Oscar-nominated director Rob Marshall (Into the Woods), the film is based on a script from Finding Neverland’s David Magee. A sequel to Robert Stevenson’s 1964 film, starring Julie Andrews, Mary Poppins Returns takes place 25 years after the original – despite being released 54 years after the original.

The film stars Emily Blunt in the titular role, alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda as Jack, Meryl Streep as Topsy-Turvy Poppins, and Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer playing the older versions of Michael and Jane Banks. Dick Van Dyke is set to return, playing Mr. Dawes Jr., a role that was originally played by Arthur Malet, who died in 2013. However, original Mary Poppins, Julie Andrews rejected the offer to cameo in the film, stating that this was Blunt’s time to shine in the role.

Though it won’t be released until Christmas, Disney is giving us a taste of what’s to come, after a long time of us knowing very little about the film. The trailer shows Mary Poppins returning all these years later in order to help look after Michael’s children when he suffers a personal loss.

Mary Poppins Returns is set for release on December 25th.
