Despite its relatively buggy launch last month, serial-killer simulator Friday the 13th is celebrating some very impressive sales figures this week. Publisher Gun Media have announced that the game has moved 1.8 million units so far since it released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The company also detailed the physical version of the game which will hit stores on Friday 13th October, of course. It will carry the same price as the digital version and include a bloody Jason skin and free clothing pack. Commenting on the last two months and looking forward to the future, Gun Media’s founder Wes Keltner had this to say:
“It’s been a long two months from our team here at Gun and [developer] IllFonic. We have had an incredibly supportive and dedicated community since we launched, and while things haven’t been completely smooth we definitely feel confident moving forward. The team has grown and we are committed as we work to add more content, more kills, more to do and of course the single player component to the game”
