With the holiday season upon us what better way to get into the festive spirit than brutally murdering people with a machete? Friday the 13th has you covered with the announcement of a huge new update which adds offline bots and a level increase.
Update 1.21 launches today on PlayStation 4 and will offer the players a chance to play the game offline with bots. The bots can be set to three different difficulties. The harder the difficulty, the more cunning the councillors will be, fixing cars, remembering when you’ve been in the area for longer, and use medical sprays more liberally.
The max level has been increased with the new cap sitting at level 150, up from 101. The developers have made it clear that this isn’t just a number increase however. Speaking in the patch notes for the game, they tease more to come; “This increase won’t just be a number that keeps getting higher as you play more and earn XP. There are some cool things that you will unlock along the way, and we’re going to talk about a few of those right now.”
There’s also two new grab kills to unlock for Jason and an update to the game’s virtual cabin mode (screenshots in the tweet below).
To round things off there’s a holiday event to sink your teeth into. From December 18 until December 23 the chances of rolling a Rare and Epic perk will be increased. From December 23 to December 27 the chances of finding BOTH Pamela and Jarvis tapes will be increased. Finally, from December 23 up until January 2 there is a double CP perk.
