Pedro Pascal, the actor behind Game of Thrones’ tragically charismatic Oberyn Martell, has been added to the cast of Wonder Woman 2, in an unspecified but “key role.”
So far, the plot has been kept relatively quiet, meaning that we probably won’t get any more character revelations any time soon – all the detail we have so far has come from Jenkins, who has said that the sequel will have a new cast of characters, as well as another love story.
This will mark the second time Jenkins and Pascal have worked together, the first time being on the TV movie Exposed, which also starred Ben Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
There’s a lot riding on this sequel being as successful as the first film, as Wonder Woman was one of DC’s most well-received films to-date, and after the disappointment of Justice League, the DCEU could do with another win.
Wonder Woman 2 is set for release on November 1st, 2019.
