The much anticipated sequel to the indie hit Guacamelee was announced last night at Sony’s Paris games week conference. Guacamelee 2 continues the Metroidvania luchador chaos of the first, this time with new chicken abilities and a new grappling hook. Not only that but this time there’s 4 player local coop, meaning 3 people can join in on the frantic combo based action.

The games description tells the story to be set 7 years after the original as “Juan Aguacate is forced to don his luchador mask again to face a new threat — this time to the very fabric of space and time”. How connected it will be the first one were yet to see but it does seem like it’ll follow a similar beat.
