While he might not be working as much as his early career led us to believe, Haley Joel Osment continues to act, mostly on TV, with his most recent stint being on Silicon Valley. And now, it seems that Osment is set to add to his small-screen roster by appearing in the next season of The X-Files.
Following last year’s revival, the next (albeit limited) season of the show is scheduled to arrive in January, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning as the iconic pairing of Mulder and Scully, respectively. Together they will be investigating more strange occurrences, and unlocking more conspiracies as they go.
While Fox has yet to reveal the details of Osment’s role, according to Deadline, he’ll feature heavily in the Skinner-centric episode. So, perhaps he will be a relative of Mitch Pileggi’s Assistant Director.
Osment joins a cast which also includes William B. Davis, Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose and Barbara Hershey. You can check out the New York Comic-Con trailer for Season 11, here.
