Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series has cast five more actors, though we are still yet to receive any details of what characters anyone is playing.

Over the past two days, Lindelof has been filling up his Watchmen cast quickly. Yesterday brought with it the announcement that Sleepy Hollow alum Tom Mison, Titanic’s Frances Fisher, and Superfly’s Jacob Ming-Trent had signed on to be a part of the series.

Today, however, there’s been the announcement of another two actors joining the ranks, as Aquaman’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Endeavour’s Sara Vickers have also been added to the cast.

They join previously cast Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, and Andrew Howard.

Set in an alternate history where superheroes are labelled as outlaws, Lindelof’s Watchmen is attempting to embrace the nostalgia of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ iconic graphic novel while trying to establish its own identity. Lindelof recently revealed in a letter to fans that the project is not a straight adaptation of the original 12 issues, but an original story that remixes the ground-breaking source material.
