Hold onto dear life for “Captain America: Civil War” folks because this may be one of the last times you get to see Iron Man.

It was early last year that Robert Downey Jr. signed a contract extension with Marvel Studios, which confirmed him for both “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” However, there was one title that was left out of the talks – “Iron Man 4.” Downey jokingly said , “I’ll do Iron Man 4 if Mel Gibson directs it”
Does this mean that “Iron Man 3” was the last one? In an interview with an American news outlet, Today, Downey Jr. explains, “In a way it’s Cap 3 but for me it’s like my little Iron Man 4 and then it’s back to the thing we all recognize. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that’s how it is until it changes. If it changes.”
Don’t start to fret yet though Marvel fans, there are still plenty of great movies coming out. Not only do we get “Civil War” this year, but we’re also getting “Doctor Strange.” Then in 2017, strap in for “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” and “Thor: Ragnarok.”
