The first full trailer for Stranger Things’ third season has arrived and it’s full of nostalgic ‘80s Summer fun.
The trailer kicks of with Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home” – an excellent bit of cross-promotion for Netflix, which launches the adaptation of the notorious band’s biopic in just a couple of days. This latest look at the third season of the Duffer Brothers’ creation packs in a lot more than we’ve seen previously, clocking in at almost three minutes of tease for our return to the Upside Down.
Season 3 will see Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), Max (Sadie Sink), and Eleven/Jane (Millie Bobby Brown) face all the change that adolescence brings – as well as all the scary monsters in the Upside Down – as we explore the Summer of 1985.
“We’re not kids anymore,” Mike tells his friends (though we beg to differ), “I mean, what did you think? We were just going to sit in my basement all day?”
As well as the core kids (and what seems to be the Demogorgon) we also get glimpses of other returning characters like Chief Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Steve (Joe Keery), Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and new additions like Robin (Maya Hawke) who will also no doubt be taking on the monsters from beneath their feet.
Stranger Things 3 arrives on Netflix on July 4th.
