The best-selling series is headed for the small screen
Director James Wan and his Atomic Monster production company are joining forces with Hivemind on an upcoming television adaptation of the best-selling Image Comics series, Gideon Falls, from creators Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino.
Winner of “Best New Series” at the 2019 Eisner Awards, the Image Comics series is a thriller which sees the worlds of rural mystery and urban horror collide. Following an ensemble cast of seemingly random strangers – an uncompromising female sheriff, a washed-up Catholic priest, and a young recluse who’s obsessed with unravelling a conspiracy buried in his city’s trash – as they are drawn into a mystery that’s connected to a long-forgotten local legend.
Wan will executive producer the hour-long horror drama with Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear, Hivemind’s Jason Brown, Sean Daniel, Kathy Lingg and Dinesh Shamdasani, as well as original series creators Lemire and Sorrentino.
