Less than eighteen months ago, Jordan Peele released Get Out, a film that took the world by storm, and took him from a successful sketch comedian to one of this generation’s most exciting new filmmakers.

Naturally, we’ve all been eagerly awaiting what Peele would do next, but wonder no more, as the filmmaker has announced that his new project, Us, is set for release in less than a year. More than this, the film already has a poster, promising us “a new nightmare from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele”:

Variety has reported that Peele is in talks with Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o and Handmaid’s Tale actress Elisabeth Moss to star, with a third role possibly going to Black Panther actor Winston Duke.

The poster, drawing on the classic Rorschach inkblot test suggests that perhaps Us will follow in Get Out’s footsteps as another psychological horror. Interestingly, as with the inkblot tests, certain elements of Get Out were open to the audience’s interpretation, and it seems this film will likely do the same.

Jordan Peele’s Us is set for release on March 19th 2019.
