The first teaser for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom isn’t the longest, at a mere 15 seconds, but it does announce the date of the full trailer’s release.

At only a quarter of a minute, there isn’t a lot to dissect, but there’s certainly a few little nuggets of information in there.

In a nice nod to the original Jurassic Park (where Alan Grant hides from the flock of Gallimimus behind a log with Lex and Tim) the teaser shows Owen (Chris Pratt), Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and a new addition to the team (in the form of The Get Down’s Justice Smith) cowering by one of the first film’s gyrospheres.

This backs up the fan theory that’s been going around that the they will head back to the island on some kind of quest, possibly a rescue mission to retrieve as many of the dinosaurs possible due to a natural disaster.

Which is likely to be the volcano that we can see spilling smoke in the background, threatening to bury our heroes (and the dinosaurs) in rock and lava. Though after the events of last time, it’s a wonder they were convinced to go back at all.

Either way, we will find out more on Friday, when the full trailer for the film is being released.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is slated for release on June 8th in the UK and June 22nd in the US.
