Today Leonardo DiCaprio has shared the first image from the set of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood with co-star Brad Pitt.
Quentin Tarantino’s ‘60s-based Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is a cast of industry heavyweights, but two of the biggest names attached to the director’s latest project are DiCaprio and Pitt, who play former star of a Western series, Rick Dalton, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth, respectively.
Via his Instagram account today, DiCaprio shared the first picture of the duo on set in suitable ‘60s attire:
Pitt’s Cliff Booth has a decidedly Robert Redford look about him, and DiCaprio is practically oozing the era, from the chunky ring and medallion combo to that yellow turtle neck.
Frequent collaborator DiCaprio was first to join the project, followed by Pitt, and since then, the cast has grown exponentially, also starring Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Keith Jefferson, Nicholas Hammond, Burt Reynolds, and Scoot McNairy. While many of the roles are still currently unknown, we’ve made a list of the roles we do know here.
Tarantino has described Once Upon A Time in Hollywood as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton, former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbour…Sharon Tate.”
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is set for release on August 9th, 2019.
