M. Night Shyamalan has revealed the teaser poster for his upcoming film, Glass.

In last year’s Split, the director delivered one of his best twists in years, when we learned that the film took place in the same universe as his 2000 superhero thriller, Unbreakable. For years, fans have been asking for a follow-up to the story of Bruce Willis’ unlikely hero, and now the project is nearing completion. And in addition to Unbreakable stars Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy will also reprise their Split roles.

Glass appears to have been on the fast track, as though it was only officially confirmed by Shyamalan in April of 2017, it quickly made its way through production, wrapping last December. The director has been working hard to edit the film, but he will be taking time out next month to bring the film in San Diego Comic Con – and Shyamalan is hyping fans up early.

Taking to his official Twitter account, he shared the teaser poster for Glass, which depicts David Dunn (Willis), Mr. Glass (Jackson) and Kevin Wendell Crumb (McAvoy) confined to chairs, whilst their reflections showcase their alter-egos:

Footage of Glass was shown at April’s CinemaCon, revealing that the three characters depicted on the poster are all either institutionalised or imprisoned at the film’s start, being interviewed by Sarah Paulson’s psychiatrist character. With Shyamalan and the cast heading to SDCC next month, we’re guaranteed to get some more information about Glass, and perhaps even an official teaser – though chances are we won’t be seeing a trailer any time soon.

Glass is set for release on January 18th, 2019.
