Aaron Paul will return as Jesse Pinkman
Following years of secrecy surrounding Vince Gilligan’s Breaking Bad film, Netflix has finally offered some details on the production, entitled El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, including a brief teaser.
Written and directed by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, El Camino is set in the wake of Jesse’s (Aaron Paul) dramatic escape from captivity, where he must find some kind of peace with his past in order to forge a future.
The teaser doesn’t offer much, but sees Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) being questioned by police about Jesse’s whereabouts, refusing to give them any help to put Jesse “back inside a cage” after the news has revealed everything his captors put him through to keep him “cooking.”
Paul recently spoke to The New York Times, revealing that he was left “speechless” after reading the script for El Camino:
“I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds. I was just lost in my thoughts. As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that Vince wanted to take me on this journey.”
But when questioned on whether co-star Bryan Cranston will return as Walter White, Paul simply replied, “All I can say, I think people will be really happy with what they see.”
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie debuts on Netflix on October 11th.
