Fans of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world can now get one step closer to attending Hogwarts, as a new role-playing mobile game puts fans in the centre of the story, with many of the film’s cast lending their voices to the characters.

Jam City, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and Portkey Games are set to release Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, a game which allows players to create their own character to experience life as a Hogwarts student.

While the story is set in the famous wizarding school, players shouldn’t expect to see Harry, Hermione and Ron wandering the halls, as the game exists in the time before the Golden Trio arrive on the scene. Though there will be no Potter, fans can expect to see plenty of familiar faces.

Many of the film’s Hogwarts faculty are lending their voice talents to the game. Dame Maggie Smith, who played Professor McGonagall, is joined by Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore), Sally Mortemore (Madame Irma Pince), Gemma Jones (Madame Pomfrey) and Zoë Wanamaker (Madame Hooch) who will all reprise their roles within the game.

The official Facebook page for the app shared photos of Smith, Davis and Gambon posing alongside their game avatars:

CEO of Jam City, Chris DeWolfe, said of the game: “Our goal with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is to make players really feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts. By including these iconic and incredibly talented actors in the game, we come one step closer to truly giving fans their own Hogwarts experience.”

Players are able to choose their own house, interact with their favourite professors, create friendships, learn spells and master potions, all the while earning points to unlock new, magical mysteries.

While the game isn’t available yet, you can pre-register on the game’s official website, so you’ll be first to know of the updates.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be available as a free download in the App Store and Google Play Store on April 25th.
