Game of Thrones alum Peter Dinklage is attached to star in a big screen adaptation of the classic fairy tale, Rumpelstiltskin.

EW has confirmed that the actor will star in and produce the Sony film, based on the classic German character first introduced by the Brothers Grimm in their 1812 storybook Children’s and Household Tales.

While plot details have yet to be confirmed, the titular character in the original story assists a miller’s daughter after her father lies to the king, telling him that she can spin straw into gold. Though at first his intentions seem honourable, as he helps the girl spin straw into riches, Rumpelstiltskin shows his true colours when he demands her first-born child as recompense.

Patrick Ness, screenwriter of A Monster Calls is reportedly attached to pen the script for the film, which is still in development. EW’s sources have also explained that this production won’t be Dinklage’s first post-Game of Thrones role.

More on Rumpelstiltskin when we have it.
