After delaying the release of the July update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, developer Bluehole have released the first image of the new weapon coming to the game, the Mk14 EBR.

The image was released via the developer’s Twitter account and can be viewed below. The Mk14 takes 7.62mm ammo, like the AKM, SKS and others.  Interestingly, the gun features a deploy-able Bipod but it’s unclear whether it will have such functionality in-game.

To get your hands on the Mk14, you’ll have to find a crate to loot. This will be the only way to try out the weapon for now so unfortunately its pretty low odds that you’ll get one.

Yesterday, the game’s servers were down for maintenance due to a client crash bug resulting in the monthly update being delayed. Earlier this week, Bluehole announced that vanity items would be coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The items are inspired by the movie Battle Royale which the game draws heavily from.
