This is an epic journey of self-discovery for Thor. Never before has he had to face the challenges of this magnitude. He’s has lost his hammer – well, actually, Hela (Cate Blanchett) crushed it like a piece of clay. Technicalities.
During his journey he is reunited with an old friend, the big green behemoth himself, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) thanks to a carefully crafted game orchestrated by The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). Plus, Hulk talks! And Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is back! What a grand story this is shaping out to be. From the heavens opening up showing the legion of Valkyrior lead by the electrifying Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) to seeing Heimdall (Idris Elba) do serious damage and Skurge (Karl Urban) doing Hela’s bidding.
Marvel is set to deliver yet another movie of epic proportions whilst tapping into another interesting aspect of their signature universe. Put it this way, if Xanadu and Flash Gordon had a baby, it would be Thor: Ragnarok. There’s the airbrushed, multicolored logo, the crazy retro text effects and the soundtrack is straight out of the early eighties.
How awesome is this? Go experience it when it comes out on November 3rd 2017. It’s going to rock!
