Today, Capcom have revealed that Resident Evil Revelations, which has been updated for current-gen consoles, will release August 29 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More interesting to note is that the acclaimed zombie game and its follow-up Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will also be making its way to Nintendo Switch later this year.

Resident Evil Revelations follows Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate the reportedly abandoned Queen Zenobis cruise ship. The game has been optimised for current-gen consoles offering 1920×1080 resolution, an improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement. All previously released Downloadable Content will be available in the game as unlockable rewards.

Players can tackle the game’s returning Raid Mode which includes The Ghost Ship:Chaos, a remixed version of the popular stage with more powerful weapons, an upgradable arsenal and altered enemy positions.

No word on exactly when Nintendo Switch players can get their hands on the games with Capcom stating Late 2017 as the release window.
