Director M. Night Shyamalan debuted the trailer for the highly-anticipated Unbreakable sequel, Glass, at SDCC, alongside stars Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Sarah Paulson and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The panel, moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown, began with Shyamalan speaking a little about the journey to Glass, after which the first trailer for the film debuted, which saw Unbreakable’s Mr. Glass (Jackson) and David Dunn (Willis) on screen with Split’s Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) for the first time.
Shyamalan looks to be bringing his trilogy to an incredible culmination, as we see these three “heroes” finally interact with each other and ultimately begin to rip each other to shreds. Subverting the superhero and thriller genres, Shyamalan, master of the twist, is delivering something very different than what we’ve seen in the past.
The panel also saw the release of an awesome new poster for the film:
Glass is set for release on January 18th, 2019.
