Tom Holland, one half of Marvel’s spoilerrific duo (the other being Mark Ruffalo of course) has struck again, by revealing to fans whose Endgame gauntlet snap tore open the multiverse.

While promoting his upcoming film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Holland spoke a little about the film’s new character, Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Trailers for the film have already shown that this Mysterio is a far cry from the Spidey villain in the comics, as they appear to show him fighting by the young hero’s side against the Elementals.

However, the latest trailer also revealed that Mysterio is from a different universe, and he is only able to be in our world because the Infinity Gauntlet snap tore a whole in the universe. We didn’t know whose snap was responsible for this turn of events – until now.

In a video posted to Twitter, Holland says during an interview, “Mysterio is my new best friend. We team up to fight these Elemental creatures. When Thanos snapped his fingers, these creatures came through the dimensional rift.”

This statement tells us that there’s more fallout from Endgame in Far From Home than just Tony Stark’s death. Since it was announced that Mysterio was from another universe, fans have been wondering how this could be, with most theories revolving around the various “snaps” of previous films from Thanos, Hulk and Tony.

The Russo Brothers have yet to comment on who dunnit, but it seems they don’t have to now, as Tom Holland has revealed that the world has another thing to be mad at Thanos for – letting some scary elemental creatures loose on Earth.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is set for release on July 2nd.
