The main characters from Star Trek Beyond, including Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) have beamed down into Star Trek Fleet Command, a new mobile strategy game from Scopely and CBS Interactive.
Entertainment Weekly has shared an exclusive look at the crew of the Enterprise together in footage and still shots of the new game, which explores a prequel story set in J.J. Abrams’ Trek universe.
Mike Johnson, a writer on the game told EW, “It starts just before Star Trek Beyond. Our story will encompass the events of Beyond, and then we’ll go… beyond Beyond.”
Fleet Command dives deeper into the conflict between the Klingon, Federation, and Romulan factions as an open world that’s ready to be explored. Scotty (Simon Pegg) is one of the first characters players encounter in the game, which sees players in deep space battles, maintaining their ship’s resources, complete missions and interact with Trek characters.
Other characters include Uhura (Zoe Saldana) Sulu (John Cho), Bones (Karl Urban), Keenser (Deep Roy) and Nero (Eric Bana). Unfortunately, however, while the character’s will be appearing, none of the film’s cast will be voicing them. Check out the stills below:
Executive Vice President and General Manager at CBS Interactive, Rob Gelick, explained that fans can “decide their own fate in a vibrant galaxy full of epic ships and iconic characters. […] By bringing a massive multiplayer universe to mobile devices. Star Trek Fleet Command expands the franchise in a bold new way.”
The game is available now through the App Store and Google Play.
