Release Date: 27th October 2017
The surprise hit of last year, fans of nostalgia-fueled, science fiction series, Stranger Things have been driven to Joyce Byers-level madness in its absence, waiting for news of season two.
When last we saw our favourite group of geeky outcasts, they had retrieved Will (Noah Schnapp) from the Upside-Down and though Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) had gone, all seemed to be returned to normal (or at least as normal as it gets in the little town of Hawkins). However, the last moments of the finale left many with questions that only the arrival of season two can answer. For instance, why was Chief Hopper (David Harbour) leaving Eggos in the woods? Does he know where Eleven is? Or is he just leaving them all over town, just in case?
The most concerning image Stranger Things left us with last season was Will coughing up demon slugs into the sink, before the Upside-Down’s mirror world seemed to flash before his eyes. And with season two’s tagline “Some doors cannot be closed” it suggests that the Upside-Down might be fighting back this season, the posters and trailers depicting monsters in the sky, as though the border between the worlds being breached by our gang has allowed more out than they realised.
However, joining the characters a year after the events of last season, it begs the question – what’s happened in the interim? Where is Eleven? Has Nancy (Natalia Dyer) finally dumped Steve (Joe Keery)? And has ANYONE got justice for Barb?
All questions will be answered this October…
