Sophia Lillis is moving stuff with her mind.
The first trailer for Netflix’s I Am Not Okay With This is here, and It star Sophia Lillis is coming to terms with mysterious new superpowers.
From the producers of Stranger Things, the new comedy follows the story of Sydney, a self-described “boring 17-year-old white girl” dealing with the teen complexities of family, friends, sexuality – and newly awakened superpowers.
Based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman, and created by Jonathan Entwistle, director and executive producer of The End of the F***ing World, I Am Not Okay With This also stars Lillis’ It co-star Wyatt Oleff as Sydney’s neighbour Stanley Barber, and Sofia Bryant (The Code) as her best friend, Dina.
The trailer sees Sydney’s angst lead to her realising her powers, which appear to include great strength and being able to move things with her mind as something of a reaction to her emotions – not unlike Stranger Things’ protagonist Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
However, as Sydney points out – “it’s probably just puberty.”
I Am Not Okay With This arrives on Netflix on February 26th.
