The two will play the duo’s sons.
The CW’s straight-to-series drama Superman & Lois, focusing on the home life of the iconic DC couple, has cast Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin in the key roles of Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane’s (Elizabeth Tulloch) two sons, Jonathan and Jordan.
Elsass will play Jonathan, a clean-cut, modest and kind-hearted kid with an attitude that speaks of the past, yet doesn’t seem dated. Garfin will play Jordan, a wildly intelligent child, but one with a mercurial temperament and social anxiety that limits his interactions and leaves Jordan favouring more time alone playing video games.
Written by Todd Helbing and based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois follows the Man of Steel and his near-fearless journalist wife as they deal with all the stress and complexities that come from being working parents in today’s world.
Lois’ pregnancy was first revealed in last season’s crossover, Elseworlds, and by the start of this season’s five-part event Crisis on Infinite Earths, the Kents had a new-born son, Jon. In part three of the event, however, Lois, Clark and their baby were wiped out by the Anti-Monitor – but when the universe was eventually reset, there were a number of changes, which included Lois and Clark having two teenage boys in the post-Crisis world.
Helbing executive produces alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns, all of whom have had a wealth of experience working within the Arrowverse.
