He’s everywhere at the moment
Deadline have revealed that Boardwalk Empire and The Irishman actor Stephen Graham is joining the upcoming Sony sequel Venom 2, directed by Andy Serkis and starring Tom Hardy.
Graham’s role is being kept under wraps, but he joins the already-impressive cast of Hardy, Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson, and Naomie Harris.
The British-born actor played Al Capone in HBO’s multi-award-winning series Boardwalk Empire, but his most recent role has been that of Tony ‘Pro’ Provenzano in Martin Scorsese’s current smash hit mob movie The Irishman. He will also be seen in Sony’s upcoming WWII Tom Hanks film, Greyhound, due out on May 8th, 2020.
Graham’s been going from strength to strength over recent years, with his other acting credits including Scorsese’s Gangs of New York, Guy Ritchie’s Snatch, The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, as well as this summer’s Elton John biopic Rocketman. He is also a three-time BAFTA TV award nominee for This Is England ’90, Save Me, and Accused.
Venom 2 is slated for release on October 2nd, 2020.
