Fox’s Predator reboot has released a new bloody red band trailer, which gives us our best look at the film’s story yet.

The premise is set by Sterling K. Brown’s Will Traeger, saying “I’m in acquisitions. I look up and catch what falls out of the sky.”

Following several shots of the Predator bringing chaos to the neighbourhood, Traeger warns “Predators don’t just sit around making hats out of rib cages. They conquered space. That’s not what is on the horizon.”

This new instalment into the franchise comes from director/writer Shane Black and producer/writer Fred Dekker, and follows the titular Predators on their return to Earth, deadlier than ever before, after having enhanced their power with the DNA of other species.

As well as Brown, the cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski.

New footage of the film will be shown at next month’s San Diego Comic Con.

The Predator hits cinemas on September 14th.
