In an interview with Game Reactor, Machine Games‘ narrative designer Tommy Tordsson Bjork and senior game designer Andreas Öjerfors confirmed that this year’s nazi-killing FPS Wolfenstein II The New Colossus will be making its way to Nintendo Switch in early 2018.
The port is being handled by the same team behind the Nintendo Switch version of DOOM, capable hands indeed. Bethesda has shown its support for the humble handheld/console hybrid with Skyrim, DOOM and now Wolfenstein.
Speaking on why they chose Panic Button to handle the port, Bjork and Öjerfors stated “they’re experts at the Switch an now they’re experts with the [id Tech 6] engine so we work with them, and the Doom version turned out to be really kick-ass on the Switch so I think Wolfenstein will be the same”
Wolfenstein II The New Colossus released early this year to rave reviews, ours included, and continues the story of BJ Blazcowitz as he sparks a second American Revolution.
